ABRUZZO

The Abruzzo region stretches from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, and hosts the highest and hugest massifs of Central Italy.
Splendid mountain scenery and peaks, often higher than 2,000 meters.
The National Park of Abruzzo, in the western part of the region, is home to many animal species and hosts a rich flora.
On the Adriatic coast there are popular seaside resorts.
