Lanciano

Visit the Cathedral Madonna del Ponte, the church of S.Francesco with the relics of a miracle and the Cistercian-Burgundian style church of S.Maria Maggiore.

The Eucharistic miracle for which this town is famous, took place in the 8th century, when, during mass, a host was changed into live flesh and the wine became blood.
