TERAMO
Founded in pre-Roman times, Teramo once was the border between the church State and the Kingdom of Two Sicilies.
The town offers many interesting sights, such as the 12th century Cathedral of S.Berardo; the remains of an ancient Roman amphitheatre (30 BC) and theatre; the church of S.Getulio, built on the ruins of a Roman temple.
Also noteworthy: the Archaeological Museum, the Palazzo Delfico, S.Anna which stands on ths site of a 6th century basilica and the church of S.Domenico.
