Visit the exquisite 11th century Byzantine church of S.Marco, the churches of S.Anna and S.Bernardino and the Cathedral (in an ornate tabernacle is the fresco of the Madonna Achiropita from the 9th century).
The Museo Diocesano d'Arte Sacra hosts a precious 6th century manuscript – the Codex purpureus Rossanensis, decorated with scenes from the Gospel - as well as church ornaments, reliquaries and a collection of Byzantine icons.
