Carpi

This charming town is the the Italian capital of knitwear. Interesting sights: Piazza dei Martiri, Palazzo dei Pio which hosts the Museo Civico ( 15th-19th century paintings); Duomo dell'Assunta with Renaissance interior; S.Maria in Castello (8th century church with Romanseque bell tower and Renaissance facade).
