In the past it was a port on the River Naoncello.
The main street is Corso Vittorio emanuele lined with historical buildings like Casa Simoni, Casa Odozzilli and Casa Pittini.
Other interesting sights are the church of S.Maria degli Angeli, Palazzo Tinti, Palazzo Gregoris, the frescoed Casa dei Capitani and the 13th century Palazzo Comunale.
Palazzo Ricchieri hosts the Museo Civico d'Arte. Don't miss the Duomo di S.Marco with frescoes by Il Pordenone.
