Vigevano
One of Italy's leading cities in Renaissance times, now an important industrial town.
The main attraction is the Piazza Ducale where you may stroll under the porticos and visit the Duomo and the Museo del Duomo with the Cathedral Treasury.
The square had been made as an entrance to the castle, summer residence of Ludovivo il Moro.
The pavemente is decorated with black and white stones from the River Ticino.
The south side of the Piazza is dominated by the Torre del Bramante.
