The Arco di Augusto, a Roman triumphal arch, is the gateway to the town.

The centre of town is Piazza XX Settembre with the 14th century Palazzo della Ragione.

Passing through the Borgia-Cybo arch you reach the complex of the Case Malatestiane, including the Palazzo Malatesta home to the Museo Civico and the Pinacoteca.
