Provinces: Turin, Alessandria, Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Novara, Verbania, Vercelli
This Region is made up of three different natural zones; Po Valley, part of the Alps and the Ligurian Apennines.
It includes two large hilly areas, the Langhe and the Monferrato.
Many Alpine lakes dot the region. In the eastern part, we find two bigger lakes; the Lago Maggiore and the Lago d'Orta.
