Sacro Monte di Varallo Sesia

The complex of Sacro Monte stands at 600 mt on a terrace and was founded in 149 by the Franciscan Bernardo Caimi.

It represents the holy places of Palestine and consists of 44 chapels and the basilica.

It is an unique example of 15-17th century sacred art.
