An excavation area - Su Nuraxi - with the nuraghi - circular (sometimes conical) stone dwellings.

This is the largest nuragic fortress in Sardinia.

The original core dates from the middle Bronze Age, 1500 BC.

Later on the village which grew inside the walls, expanded outside the fortress.
