PISTOIA
This town, enclosed by medieval walls offers many interesting sights.
On Piazza del Duomo there is the Romanesque Cathedral of S.Zeno. It has a green and white marble facade and a characteristic belltower. Inside, do not miss the Cappella di San Giacomo.
Have a look at the Ospedale del Ceppo, not far from the square, built in 1277 and at the church of S. Bartolomeo in Pantano.
The church of S.Giovanni Fuorcivitas, built in 1119, has a polyptych by Taddeo Gaddi.
The Cappella del Tau in Corso Silvano Fedi hosts frescoes with stories from the Old and New Testament.
