Bassano del Grappa

This town at the foot of Monte Grappa is famous for the Ponte degli Alpini, a 64 mt long, covered, wooden bridge, destroyed many times by war and floods.

The present-day bridge was designed by Palladio.

Interesting sights are the church of S.Francesco, the Museo Civico, the Museo della Grappa.
